Questions to Resolve Before Signing a Geothermal Proposal
Ask who coordinates drilling, HVAC, electrical work, restoration and inspections. Have the proposer identify the model and work covered, tests performed, retained parts, exclusions and the process for pricing changes. Put answers with the version of the proposal they modify.
For an existing system, compare replacement equipment and retained ground-loop work separately. For a conversion, check what happens to the old fuel system and how every room receives heating and cooling. These differences can explain a price gap without making either proposal complete.
